Muse Developments in collaboration with Network Rail and Pension Fund, PIC are bringing forward the development of New Victoria, a c£118m development adjacent to Victoria Station, Manchester.

New Victoria is an exemplary example of city re-development. The project consists of Block 1 a 25-storey tower and Block 2 a 20-storey tower providing a combined total of 520 apartments along with amenity space, ground floor retail space and high-quality public realm.

The site is highly constrained being bound by Network Rail Assets, TfGM (Metrolink) operational tramway, MCC highways, United Utilities deep drainage and the River Irk Culvert; a below ground Victorian Culvert spanning 10m. The management of these third-party approvals including all necessary form approvals has been a key matter.

CHROMA worked closely with the Muse team in agreeing Heads of Terms and further to this the finalisation of the Development and Funding Agreement with PIC and alongside this agreement of the Building Agreement. The deal was concluded, and contract awarded during the 2019 COVID pandemic, signifying a huge achievement for the team involved.
